This site is mostly dedicated to my main hobby, astronomy.  Through various travels I ended up meeting a buch of great guys and together we decided to build our own observatory.

Our main benifactor is Doctor R.A. Greiner, who designed many (if not all) of the custom controls needed to run the observatory.  He is also responsible for most of the equipment at the observatory, and we are lucky to have him as part of our team.

Matt Mills is an avid observer and spends most of his time on the scope measuring Minor Planets, including NEO's.  In 2006, we have logged almost 1000 observations at the GRO (H51).  See the Minor Planet Project at the left for more info.

Dennis Roscoe was kind enough to offer up a spot at his house for the facilities.  Through his careful planning we have an excellent building and Dennis keeps everything up and running when it needs a little on-site TLC.  Dennis is becoming quite the scope jockey and has captured some fine images.

Mark Hanson is another member of our team.  A published astrophotographer, Mark is helping us all learn the fine art of astrophotography and processing.

Finally, there is myself.  While not much of a mechnical guy, I keep all the computers up and running and help make sure the observatory is working for remote operation.  I like to hunt for asteroids as well as do some deep sky imaging, so I am often conflicted with what to do with my scope time.

Thus the Greiner Research Observatory was born.
